Rex is located in the beautiful old Umeå Town Hall in the middle of the square. The building was built in 1892 and has been in operation since 1996. It functions as both a quality restaurant and bar, which serves on the terrace in the summer, and a nightclub. Both are relatively expensive, but very popular. If you feel like dancing, don't hesitate because the nightclub is huge! You can enjoy tasteful electronic music there. In the basement of the house, the pub offers more than 120 varieties of beer and a street food menu.

A rather large choice of beers, including some Belgian bottles, and of course whisky. Note the boar and doe heads on the walls, as well as a stuffed falcon. Very lively on weekends in the middle of the evening. But for good food, it is better to opt for the Angelini, which belongs to the same owner and which serves a much more refined "American-Italian" cuisine.
