The big market (Pasar Bawah), where fruit, vegetables, chickens, spices, dried fish and casseroles are sold, is down town. Try typical dishes such as eel or intestines. Otherwise, opt for classics like fried banana (pisang goreng) or fried rice (nasi goreng).

The market at the top of town (Pasar Atas), where you can find fabrics, clothes and souvenirs, is reserved for tourists. Open every day, it is particularly busy on Wednesdays and Saturdays, although the quality of the products is rather average.
