A semi-open natural cave, a burial site of the ancient Toraja, nestled among rice paddies and labyrinthine cliffs.
Tampang Allo is truly unique. Finding the site can be a challenge, due to poor road conditions and few signs, but don't hesitate to ask the locals for directions. Nestled in peaceful rice paddies and surrounded by labyrinthine cliffs, this semi-open natural cave once served as a burial site for the ancient Toraja. Inside, the atmosphere is strangely fascinating, housing coffins stacked in crevices, Tau-Tau effigies, skulls and bones scattered from the entrance.
