AÉROCLUB D'ABIDJAN (ACABIDJAN)
At the Abidjan aeroclub, which has the only flying school in Côte d 'Ivoire, you can take courses to obtain a private pilot license on the CESSNA, CAP and PIPER light aircraft (good: the Ivorian license is valid in France). Training, which consists of practical and theoretical courses, requires a minimum of 40 hours of flight and 100 hours of theory. To learn to pilot, you must: complete the club's membership bulletin, provide the necessary parts for the Ivorian license (10 identity photos, a civil registry and a photocopy of the passport, a criminal record extract from less than 3 months), purchase for training a trainee card and a flight log and the Private Pilot Manual (available) at the Bookstore de France du Plateau), and finally, take a medical visit to the doctors recommended by the aeroclub (Dr. Mory Savané, +225 05 04 73 61/Dr. Kouakou Diabaté, +225 05 36 74 69). If you are a pilot, you can rent an airplane on time to apprehend the Ivorian sky or travel inside the country. In addition to all this, the ACA, whether a member or not, is also a warm and simple welcome in a pleasant setting with lots of small apatams and greenery overlooking the tarmac and aircraft hangars. Under the leadership of Jean-Pierre and Sébastien, the team that animates the club and the flying school offers many very nice activities (pilot mess, dinners and themed evenings at ACA's club-house - where you can enjoy delicious pizza pizzas, club trips, weekends and escape. ad hoc ads outside Abidjan…), regularly relayed on the club Facebook page.
