The Centre Artisanal de la Ville d'Abidjan (CAVA) is both a showroom for artisans and a huge store of objects and souvenirs. It's hard to choose between the myriad of batiks, clothes, wax bags and accessories, Korhogo canvases, jewelry, masks, statues, paintings, Ashanti objects... Handicrafts come from all four corners of the country, and some are made on site. Make sure you get a good night's rest before you go, as negotiations can be tiring. And don't forget to bring cash, as there are no cash dispensers on site.
