It is the best beer in the archipelago. In 1883, Símun F. Hansen went to Denmark to learn the art of brewing. When he returned to the Faroes in 1888, he set up his own brewery in Klaksvík, the second to be established in the country. The first brewery was Restorffs Bryggjarí. Since 2009, and the opening of an office in Reykjanesbaer, the company has started to export its products to Iceland.
