MARSTAL MARITIME MUSEUM (MARSTAL SØFARTSMUSEUM)

More than 200 model ships are on display, as well as paintings, collections of English porcelain and relics from antiquity. The museum faces the harbour, which still has a working shipyard and a tiny, white lime factory, whose kiln, however, went out a few years ago. The dike on the Marstal harbour was built stone by stone in 1825 by the sailors with the help of the local farmers.
