H.C. ANDERSENS HUS

This small yellow corner house, located in what used to be the poorest part of Odense, is where the famous Danish author Hans Christian Andersen (1805-1875) was born. A house in which five families lived... The author denied having been born there because it was so unhealthy. Bought by the city in 1908, it opened its doors to the public a few years later. Since then, millions of visitors have come to discover the refurnished rooms of the 72 m² that the house occupies. Remember to reread Andersen's tales before you leave!
