Not far from Aiud and Teiuș, in the pretty Geoagiu valley, this 14th-century monastery, surrounded by the Trascău mountains, is worth a short detour, as much for the scenery as for the building itself. It takes its name from the spring of drinking water that gushes beneath the altar and is called the "source of healing". Healing or not, the precious interior frescoes had to be restored in the 1980s, and the church had to be raised by 2 m to protect them. 5 km further west lie the impressive Râmeț gorges, very narrow in places.
