This hostel is housed in a recently renovated historic building, a stone's throw from the piața Mică. It offers six- and eight-bed dormitories, as well as a double room. It's clean, there's a good atmosphere and we highly recommend it for the friendliness of the staff. On the practical side, you'll find a fully-equipped kitchen, a dining area, a washing machine, a locked locker... There's also a café with an astonishing baroque decor, run by the same people. A good address for those on a budget.

This is the largest hostel in the country, with 172 beds, divided into dormitories of 6, 8, 10 or 16 beds. Fortunately, the rooms are spacious and pleasant enough, with their old wooden floors and large exposed pipes. Housed in the former Telephone Palace, it's located right in the heart of the main pedestrian street. Guests have at their disposal a small kitchen and a large room with sofas and tables, as well as a workroom. The basement features a bar serving beer brewed on site, and a simple, inexpensive restaurant.
