Guests can organize excursions in the area with their partners. One of the entrances is shared with a pleasant café-restaurant: L'Atrium. An information point is also just a few steps from the hotel.

Its rooms are gigantic and elegantly decorated with antiques from different eras: classicism from the 17th century, neo-baroque from the Napoleonic period and, in the attic, the atmosphere of the interwar period. There's also a fine restaurant serving Romanian cuisine. Prices are very affordable, making it one of the best value-for-money restaurants in Sibiu.

It's clean, there's a good atmosphere and we highly recommend it for the friendliness of the staff. On the practical side, you'll find a fully-equipped kitchen, a dining area, a washing machine, a locked locker... There's also a café with an astonishing baroque decor, run by the same people. A good address for those on a budget.

Most of the 10 rooms open onto the large inner courtyard, which has been converted into a terrace. They are all different, decorated in an elegant classical style. Very comfortable and impeccably clean, they are equipped with a minibar, TV and bathroom. Breakfast is generous and much appreciated, served in a beautiful room with dark wood panelling. The staff are friendly and efficient. Free private parking is available nearby.

Read moreAt the foot of the Pont des Mensonges, this long-abandoned 15th-century building has been renovated to house 4 large, simple and comfortable bedrooms on the upper floors. The small shared kitchen has a sink, microwave and tea and coffee making facilities. The house owes its name to the superb ancient fresco uncovered in one of the rooms, under a layer of plaster, consisting mainly of plant motifs. The astronomer can be found in a corner, with a telescope. For a higher price, you can sleep in this beautiful room.

Read moreThis is the largest hostel in the country, with 172 beds, divided into dormitories of 6, 8, 10 or 16 beds. Fortunately, the rooms are spacious and pleasant enough, with their old wooden floors and large exposed pipes. Housed in the former Telephone Palace, it's located right in the heart of the main pedestrian street. Guests have at their disposal a small kitchen and a large room with sofas and tables, as well as a workroom. The basement features a bar serving beer brewed on site, and a simple, inexpensive restaurant.
