The best accommodations Călimăneşti-Căciulata

It's one of the only hotels in the resort that isn't made of concrete. On the banks of the river Olt, this large building is superb, with its central tower that gives it the air of a castle. But there is nothing sumptuous about the interior. However, it is a cheap establishment, which has an indoor swimming pool fed by geothermal spring water, as well as a small outdoor pool with slides. There is also a treatment centre and restaurant. Its rooms are decorated in warm red-orange tones.

Set back a little from the road, not far from the Cozia monastery, this dapper new establishment boasts a very contemporary and cosy Scandinavian design. It offers 24 double, triple and family rooms, all decorated in the same style. The main attraction is the 38-degree geothermal swimming pool, with indoor and outdoor sections. Both are surrounded by beautifully landscaped relaxation areas. The spa also features a sauna (free) and a massage room (fee payable).
