NATIONAL HEROES PARK
Pleasant park with statues, Marcus Garvey's tomb, various interesting monuments and well laid-out play areas.
Once a racetrack, the 30-hectare park welcomes Kingston families to its well-appointed spaces and playgrounds. Here and there, statues of national heroes stand at the bend in the path. Other monuments are dedicated to Donald Sangster, Norman Manley, Alexander Bustamante (hero of Independence), Nanny, the patron saint of the Maroons rebels in Cockpit Country, Samuel Sharpe, Michael Manley... A chance to revisit your history lesson.
