Temple featuring pebble stupas erected by Yi Gap-yong, some of which are almost 15 m high and stand unsealed.
The attraction of this small temple lies in the 80 or so pebble stupas erected there. Some are almost 50 feet tall and stand upright without being sealed. They were erected by Yi Gap-yong, a princely descendant born in 1860, who had received in a dream at the age of 25 the mission to build these pagodas to help unhappy souls. He spent the rest of his life living here and stacking stones. He used local stones and pebbles from other famous mountains in Korea to build these stupas, each with a name.
