Magnificent neoclassical palace serving as a natural history museum with temporary and permanent exhibitions

This magnificent neo-classical palace erected in 1895 first served as museum of natural history before refocusing on the history of Brazil during the centenary of independence in 1922. The painting of 1888 Healer or dead retraçant the scene of the proclamation of the country's independence there. There are also permanent exhibitions on the evolution of São Paulo and its company and temporary exhibitions throughout the year.
