The oldest parts of the church, like the gate, the arched doorway, the lancet, the side walls of the choir date back to the 13th century. Like many monuments, the Church of Breuil-en-Auge underwent many episodes of destruction and restoration. Also, one of the chapels was built in the 14th century, and the other and a big part of the nave in the 15th century. Some parts of the building, like the steeple doesn't belong to any particular era. A mystery that gives this small church its particular charm.
