Pretty little church in the center of Mangaratiba, preserving its original features with little or no alteration

The pretty little church in the center of Mangaratiba dates from 1795. It is one of the few old religious buildings that still preserves its old characteristics with little or no alterations. It has a nice facade covered with Portuguese tiles. The baroque interior is modest, with a chapel and a wooden statue of the saint. The saint consecrated here is the patron saint of the herdsmen or fishermen. They come to honor her on September 8.
