HIKES
The most famous hike is from Belimbingsari to Labuhan Lalang. Transportation to the points of departure, when it is not Cekik or Labuhan Lalang are at your disposal. You need to use a guide at the park headquarters in Cekik (open from a. m. to p. m.) or the Labuan Lalang office (open 24 hours a day, the guide sleeps on site). A permit is also required: count 25 000 Rp.
The park offers several hiking routes of different durations:
Short (2 hours): Mangrove visit, entering the monsoon forest.
Average (3 to 4 hours): walking in mangrove and forest.
Long (4 to 5 hours). Several choices are offered to the walker: either keep the same model as short and medium hikes (mangrove + forest) or decide to go further into the forest. Other option: The ascent of Mount Klatakan, which rises 700 m above sea within 7 hours of walking.
Bird observation: 3 hours. You may have the chance to see a Liberté de Rothschild in freedom. They are employed (at the Sauvegarde rescue centre) before releasing them. The walk is to walk around the dawn in the surrounding area.
