A must-see cave in Kusamba, considered a sacred place by the Balinese and one of the 9 directional temples.
This cave is home to thousands of fruit bats agglutinated. This cave is considered by the Balinese as a sacred place, as it is one of the 9 directional temples. They claim that it is directly connected to Maheswara which is in this area of the island, and hosts an underground river in which swims the famous naga that feeds on bats. Behind the bale where souvenir sellers are located, stairs lead to a second temple (often closed to the public) from which the view of the sea is worth a look.

temple face à la mer
L'endroit est vraiment très beau, le temple a une vue directe sur la mer, et la grotte est impressionnante, avec ses centaines de chauve-souris. On a eu droit à un spectacle inattendu, un énorme serpent a attrapé une chauve souris et s'en est régalé sous nos yeux!

nous n'avons pas pu approcher de la grotte car nous y sommes allés un samedi et il y avait une cérémonie, nous avons été quand même chanceux d'avoir pu enter dans le temple parmi les locaux.
We had the opportunity to get there a day prayer what added much mystic to this magnificent temple with the sea in the background. With not missing.
A very pleasant little idea... on the beach facing the temple of the cave Goah Lawah... you walk will be very full of offerings offered to the sea with the ancètres and driven back by the swell... the small dolls, woven baskets, small clubs painted... a beach that has artistic... really one needs there baladerd' as much more than you will be acompagnés by smiling small families of fishermen!
