The Mouse Tower is located in the middle of the river. Shiver as you think that in this tower, the tyrannical Hatto, Archbishop of Mainz and reigning Prince, was devoured by his own hungry mice! At least that's the legend. What is more certain is that this tower was a warning signal for ships, because in Bingen the Rhine was particularly dangerous.
