Düsseldorf International Airport is Germany's third-largest airport, behind Frankfurt and Munich. The main airlines serving the airport are Air Berlin, Lufthansa and the Star Alliance group, Air France and the Sky Team group. To reach the city center, take the S-Bahn no. 7 for 12 minutes. To get to the station from the terminal, you'll take a "schwebebahn", a suspended train that rolls on its roof and flies over the void, a nod to Wuppertal's surrealist public transport, emblematic of the Ruhr... A spectacle in itself!
