GERMAN MUSEUM OF ARCHITECTURE
Museum retracing all the periods and trends of architecture through 160,000 plans and 500 models.
Can architecture be reduced to the space of a museum? Does Frankfurt, a city of the 20th century, not give a sufficient overview of contemporary architecture? A risky but successful gamble. Five immaculate floors, two of which are devoted to the very original house within a house, offer a panorama of modern architecture, without overlooking its historical aspect. 160,000 plans and 500 models make this museum a treasure trove, tracing all the periods and trends of 20th century architecture. A library of about 20,000 books on architecture is also available to the public. The museum is currently being renovated but has taken up temporary residence at Henschelstraße 18.
A mon sens, plutôt destiné aux initiés... Un peu cher pour la visite
