A museum of mineralogy held by the University of Hamburg.
This museum is part of a small series offered by the University of Hamburg. Like the geological-paleontological museum, this one is managed by the Institute of Mineralogy. It presents, on 500m2, 1,500 mineral items (gold, silver, diamonds) including an iron meteorite weighing 424 kg and one of the largest groups of antimonite crystals in the world. The museum, with its collection of 90,000 objects, is well laid out and explains the formation and classification of minerals.
