Shocking service, have been in contact with the company for over six months and not one call, email or application was returned or progressed. Company seem to only have one member of staff present who cannot provide any help or professional support. I am amazed at how so many landlords list their properties with a company that demonstrates their incompetency at progressing any contracts. I was told by the company because I currently live in Hamburg that I am not eligble to register for any of their properties since they are only interested in prospective tenants outside of the area. A non-inclusive approach to finding suitable accomodation for a limited demographic of Hamburg's population. A representative form the company decided to send me an incredibly hostile and abusive email ultimately refusing to offer me any apartments as a way to cover up their incompetencies. They are a scam and when I called other officers of Home Company in different states the contrast of professionalism was unbelievable. City Wohen and Wunderflats are much more credible. I believe they are unwilling to support non-german speakers. Avoid at all costs.

Be careful! HomeCompany is a company of scammers!
HomeCompany is a company known for dishonest practices! If issues arise from the landlord's side, as clients, you may encounter significant problems. HomeCompany structures contracts in a manner that absolves HomeCompany of any responsibility in case of problems. We are waiting for a deposit for accommodation for more then 8 months!!!

* HomeCompany pressured us to sign a home rental contract directly between the landlord and the client, with no responsibility taken by HomeCompany.
* In the face of problems, HomeCompany has been ignoring emails, messages, and phone calls from both landlords and clients.
* However, when you manage to reach a HomeCompany employee, they suggest resolving all issues in the court of law.

Stayed in one of their places when I moved with my partner for a job.

When we arrived at the place, there was a power tool and lots of dust from construction that hadn't been cleaned up. There were regular power problems in the suite with flickering lights and the breaker crackling. They charged us a fee for mineral deposits on the shower heads to replace them, even on one of them we didn't even use after the walk through of the apartment had already been done.

They also threatened legal action against my partner for her 1 star review if they didn't remove it.

Update:

Leider versucht die Gesellschaft mit unwahren Behauptungen über Rechtsanwälte unliebsame Bewertungen nach gut 7 Jahren löschen zu lassen. Nach Durchsicht meiner Unterlagen habe ich das Datum für die Scheckrückgabe auf 20 Tage geändert und meine Unterlagen, die auch dem Unternehmen vorliegen, google zur Verfügung gestellt. Für diese unsaubere Methode zig negative Bewertungen vieler Kunden löschen zu lassen, ziehe ich von meinen 2 Sternen noch 1 Stern ab!

Aufgrund eines Arbeitgeberwechsels habe ich Anfang Januar eine möblierte Wohnung in Hamburg gesucht und mich aufgrund des großen Angebotes in die Hände der Home Company begeben.

Positiv ist, dass die Fotos im Internet der Realität entsprechen. Dabei sollte der potentielle Mieter aber immer besser nachdenken, als ich es tat. Ein ausgebautes Dachgeschoss wird bei Sonnenschein halt zur Sauna und wenn andere Mieter Sperrmüll und Müllsäcke im Hausflur lagern, kann da ja Home Company nichts für.

Internet und Fernsehempfang bedeutet auch nicht automatisch, dass Qualität und Geschwindigkeit ausreichend sein müssen.

Bei knapp unter 1000 Euro Miete kommen am Ende noch 119 Euro Endreinigung obendrauf, was eigentlich nur ärgerlich ist, da das lebendige Ungeziefer in der Badezimmerlampe schon beim Einzug vorhanden war. (Und trotz Übersendung eines Videos beim Auszug immer noch lebte.)

Für eingesifte Bettwäsche, die ich vorfand, nachdem ich am ersten Abend das Bett aufgeschlagen hatte, darf man natürlich auch kein Entgegenkommen oder Kulanz bei der Endreinigung erwarten. Wer dann die Bettwäsche wechselt, kauft sich besser noch ein eigenes Kissen.

Die Damen der Home Company sind immer freundlich und redlich bemüht, leider lernt man gefühlt bei jedem Anruf eine neue Dame kennen und keine hat so richtig den Überblick. Im Zeugnis würde stehen "war redlich bemüht". Da passt es auch, dass die Rückgabe meines Kautionsschecks 20 Tage dauerte und ich mehrmals nachfragen musste.

Fazit: Die Dienste würde ich nur in höchster Wohnungsnotlage erneut in Anspruch nehmen.

We had 2 home company apartments over 1.5 until we finally found our forever home. Apartments are very expensive, and DIRTY when you move in. You will spend 5 hours cleaning 50sqm when you move in, 5 hours cleaning when you move out, and STILL get charged a crazy cleaning bill (166 euro) at the end. We demanded a price breakdown, because we left the apartment 1000000x nicer than when we moved in. Alas, none was given and we had to pay. Happy we’re done dealing with home company!! Wouldn’t recommend.

Die Serviceleistung dieses Immobiliendienstleisters kann ich nur als mangelhaft bezeichnen.
Am 24.10.23 besuchte ich persönlich die Niederlassung nach Anmeldung.Der Sachbearbeiter zeigte mir lustlos zum 1.11.23 3 freiwerdende möbl.Wohnungen und ich wünschte eine Option des Projektes AG7019788.Antwort des Sachbearbeiters: Z.Zt habe ich viel Arbeit und kann die Bearbeitung nicht sofort vor Ort durchführen.Ich erwiderte dass ich im Hotel wohne,mein Sohn als Nutzer morgen aus Asien anreist.Der vielseitige Schriftverkehr dauerte dann bis zum 31.10.23 und ich hatte noch keine Freigabe für das gewünschte Objekt!!.
Am 31.10.23 habe ich auf eine Privatanzeige reagiert,am gleichen Tag die Besichtigung und Unterschrift für den Mietvertrag geleistet und Einzug am 1.11.23.DANKE an diesen Vermieter!
Fazit:Habe einen verkaufsschwachen Mitarbeiter kennengelernt,der beim Kundengespräch sich mehr mit seinem jungen Hund Rudi beschäftigte als mit den Wünschen eines neuen Kunden.

I rented my temporary apartment via Home Company even before actually moving to Germany and was satisfied with the services provided.
The apartment itself was exactly as on the photos. I would say it was a bit overpriced but in very nice conditions.
The Agency team was very supportive and quite fast on all my requests: 1) they solved the internet connection issue till the evening of the same working day, 2) when the fridge broke they ordered a new one with the permission of the landlord, which arrived within a week. My deposit was also returned quite fast. And last but not least - I could communicate only in English, no German required (unlike many other Agencies I was in contact with).
About the cleaning services - yes, you have to pay for the cleaning services when you move out, and you get to know this before signing the contract. But it's fair enough to say that when I move in, the apartment was also perfectly cleaned, i could even smell the desinfectant.
So in general I would recommend to rent you temporary home with the Home Company.

Terrible company, they could not be more rude even if they tried. Horrible client service; no response and when they finally responded, they were rude from the second they realized I spoke English and not German.
No business perspective. Arguing “I can’t rent an apartment since I already have a place”. So should I be homeless to be able to get their services?
Anyway…I don’t recommend wasting your time with this pseudo agency.

Despite multiple friends warning me against working with this company for a myriad of reasons, I decided to inquire about renting a few properties. I received no reply after several attempts to contact them. I'm glad I dodged this bullet, they are clearly incompetent. I would HIGHLY recommend you avoid them. There are plenty of other agencies in Hamburg who are happy to help and work with you. If I could give zero stars I would.

Wahnsinn nette und kooperative Kolleginnen!
Ich bin ein Semester für einen Schwerpunkt nach Hamburg gezogen und brauchte somit dort vorübergehend eine Wohnung. Bei der Home-Company bin ich dann fündig geworden. Es hat zwar seinen Preis, aber dass ist vor allem den Mietpreisen in Hamburg geschuldet. Aber die hochwertige und umfangreiche Ausstattung wird dem Preis auch gerecht.
Alle Mitarbeiterinnen, mit denen ich in Kontakt getreten bin, waren immer super freundlich und darum bemüht, eine schnelle zufriedenstellende Lösung zu finden.
Somit kann ich eine uneingeschränkte Empfehlung aussprechen!

I was very disappointed by the service from HomeCompany. I contacted them 3 months before moving to Hamburg to start the apartment hunt, as I knew that as an expat who doesn't speak German it might take me longer to find one. They told me I should wait until 5 weeks before my designated move-in date because the landlords didn't want to agree on rent so early. By that time, all the nice and affordable apartments were rented, so I don't understand why did they lie to me. They are very slow to reply to e-mails (3 to 9 days on average) and would always send me apartments that didn't meet my criteria. I was genuinely disappointed, and judging by other reviews, I am happy I didn't make a contract with them. Instead, my advice is to go with City-Wohnen, they have lovely and polite staff, are fast to send you new offers and are not going to scam you.
