KAFFEEHAUS RIQUET

This is one of Leipzig's most chic and sought-after traditional cafés, housed in an Art Nouveau-style house built at the turn of the last century by architect Paul Lange. The storefront is topped with elephant heads, a must-see as you pass by. The temptation to push back the thick red curtain is too strong, so step inside! Good cups of coffee, combined with delicious home-made pastries, are to be enjoyed here. The decor, authentic and well-maintained, is simply sumptuous.
