It's better to have a car to go to Huck Finn's for dinner or lunch. The restaurant is located on French Island, slightly north of La Crosse. From downtown, take Highway 35 north, cross the Black River, reach the island and drive down south to the restaurant. In the marina, close to the water, there is a panoramic restaurant overlooking the Black River. Quiet and welcoming. Simple and good fish and meat dishes. The restaurant closes during the winter season, from the beginning of January to the end of March.
