The Freighthouse Restaurant, located in the old train station of La Crosse, is the best restaurant in town in every respect, with its magnificent bar with shelves full of the best scotch and bourbon, and its large dining room where excellent steaks and seafood dishes are served. The place is particularly famous for its pieces of beef, served with a baked potato. Its unique setting makes it a privileged destination of La Crosse. The bar alone is worth a visit. Evening concerts on Fridays and Saturdays.
