Inaugurated more than twenty years ago, Rock the Garden is a festival of independent music held on the outdoor lawn of the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis' Sculpture Garden, equipped for the occasion with an outdoor stage. Internationally renowned artists participated in the festival, including De La Soul, MGMT and Bon Iver. Local musicians and singers are also highlighted. This musical celebration, usually held on a Saturday, is a bit of a kick-off to the summer season.
