GUTHRIE THEATER
Since 1963, the Guthrie Theater has been delighting theater lovers in Minneapolis. It bears the name of its founder, Tyrone Guthrie, the famous British director who was its first artistic director until 1966. Since 2005, it has been housed in an impressive building designed by Jean Nouvel on the banks of the Mississippi. With its audacious architecture, meticulous acoustics and controlled lighting, the venue hosts both classics and local creations. Tip: arrive 10 minutes before the performance to try and get discounted tickets.
