UW ARBORETUM

Another park owned by the University of Madison. Its main activity is the restoration of the prairies, forests and wetlands that once covered Wisconsin, in order to study its ecosystems. Visitors are urged to stay on the trails to avoid damaging the areas under study. This is the park with the most restored ecological systems in the world. It's also a superb place for walking, whatever the season. Exhibitions are also regularly held here.
