THE HOP

In 2018, the City of Milwaukee launched its tramway: The Hop, a project that residents have been waiting for for many years. There is only one line that crosses the city from east to west and north to south, from the Intermodal station to the Burns Commons station. Its eighteen stations provide easy access to the Milwaukee Public Market, City Hall, Cathedral Square and many downtown hotels and restaurants. The Hop is still expanding, and will soon have three more stations. It is, for now, free.
