Designed in 1936 by Alfred Caldwell, a landscape-fascinated architect from the Prairie School, this Victorian-style artificial pool is as bucolic as ever with its water lilies (spring and summer), stone paths, abundant plants, waterfall, turtles, frogs and butterflies. An oasis worthy of a Monet painting, a few minutes walk from the Lincoln Park Conservatory.
