CRAIN COMMUNICATIONS BUILDING
A building known for its unusually sloping roof, which gives it the shape of a Chicago diamond.
The Crain Communications Building is a forty-one-story, 177-meter-high building that has housed the company of the same name since 2012. Built in 1984 under the direction of architect Sheldon Schlegman, the building is known for its unusually sloping roof that gives it the shape of a diamond. From a distance, especially in perspective from the Lake Michigan shoreline, one might mistakenly think that its roof contains solar panels.
