These are the only residential buildings built by Mies van der Rohe (1949-51). These two 26-storey glass towers, which cannot be visited, represent a turning point in the architecture of residential buildings in the United States, a real demonstration of Mies van der Rohe. No building has ever since presented such perfection in form, proportion and detail. Their refined appearance illustrates the concept of Mies "Less is more".

Ce coin de Chicago semble anarchique d'un point de vue architectural tant les bâtiments sont de typologie différente. Cela fera le bonheur des afficionados d'architecture. La promenade le long de l'autoroute est fatiguante par contre.
