Association of 2 white buildings connected by 2 elevated walkways being the headquarters of the Wrigley chewing gum company.

One of Chicago's icons, the Wrigley Building combines two white towers linked by walkways, the most beautiful of which is on the tenth floor. Built between 1920 and 1924, it was for many years the headquarters of the Wrigley chewing gum company. The design of the building was inspired by the Giralda tower of Seville Cathedral, for the upper part. The motifs on the facades are an American adaptation of the French Renaissance style. Its limestone facade is even more spectacular at night, when illuminated.

Immeuble le plus connu de Chicago et un des plus beau de jour comme de nuit avec sa passerelle et son architecture imposante ! A regarder de plusieurs lieux : en face du Tribune Tower, du Dusable Bridge et de son centre.

Imposant, éclatant, magnifique, tout les superlatifs sont possibles. La concentration des buildings de tout style et ornement fait qu'on ne sait plus où regarder. Mais le Wrigley Building avec ses 2 passerelles sort du lot. Lorsqu'on traverse le pont, l'oeil est tout de suite attiré par se building et par son contraste avec la Trump Tower tout en verre qui est adjacente.
