Chicago's cult dive bar since 1958, known for its old sketches, provocative paintings and raw ambience.

Located just across the street from The Second City comedy club, old sketches of local characters adorn the walls of Chicago's best dive bar, along with numerous paintings. The bar's owner, Bruce Elliott, is also a painter in his spare time. He had his 15 minutes of fame in 2008 with his nude of Sarah Palin standing on a polar bear skin, rifle in hand. This was followed by a series of"political porn paintings" that can still be seen on the rade's walls. A North End institution opened in 1958. Not to be missed.
