A little off the beaten tourist track, the California Clipper is Humboldt Park's oldest neighborhood bar, open since 1937. Housed in a 1912 building that used to be a theater, it has a unique ambience: red leather banquettes and vintage light fixtures immerse visitors in an atmosphere worthy of a movie. Almost every evening, it offers a varied musical program. After an abrupt closure in 2020, it reopened two years later to the delight of local residents.
