Food is elite. Our server Gina was very patient and attentive. She had realized one of our orders wasn’t correct as soon as it came out of the kitchen, before it got to our table. Coffee here is also spectacular
Burayı keşfettiğim için çok seviniyorum. Dünyanın neresine giderseniz gidin bir İtalyan restoranından asla aç kalkmazsınız, doyarsınız. Üzerine mutlu olursunuz. Burası dışarıdan eski bir yer gibi gözüküyor ama tam kuzey amerika dinner mekanı, sakinlik güzel, garsonlar güler yüzlü güzel kızlardan oluşuyor, hizmet hızlı, yemekler doyurucu.Kahvaltımı burda kaldığım sürece burda yapacağım.Teşekkür ederim.
Food is not specially good, well… if you come from Italy or Spain or Portugal or Greece… you know? The REAL thing. BUT waiters are so cool and the place is just ideal. My favourite so far in Little Italy. it is truly a great restaurant to be at, and well, none of us came to Toronto for the food! I do ADORE THIS PLACE!
We visit every few months. The food is generally consistent. The service is not. Sometimes you get great waitstaff and other times, they send you the dish boy. It's really inappropriate to send the latter. Literally dressed with not so clean white towels hanging off their waist. It was busy and really slow service so we made the decision to leave part way and continue our dining at home. The take out pizza box was embarrassingly greasy/dirty on the outside. Even worse, the container had someone else's food smeared inside. I got up and helped myself to another container. The inside of the pizza box was clean so we used it but really, just toss the box or save it for a staff pizza. We still tipped generously as I want to support our local restaurants and their servers but honestly, I own a restaurant and I felt treated poorly here :( No one that pays for their meal should ever feel this way. I don't have the heart to share pictures and really want to erase this evening from my head...
I couldn’t really fault this place ! The calamari wasn’t chewy and the antipasti is great for a group. My friend got the seafood pasta - the sauce was great and the pasta was al dente but the shrimp felt a bit rubbery ????????♀️
I had two varied experiences. The first time I went there the experience was amazing. The service was good. The second time I went there the service was not as good. The guy helping us wasn't happy with us and ensured we know. And we discussed all the reasons why he would be upset with us but couldn't come to a conclusion. He even rolled his eyes after 22% tip! C'mon!!!
Food is delicious! You'll go back for more.
Very cost effective compared to the other places on College Street.
I recently had brunch at Cafe Diplomatico and it was a great experience! Despite the bustling atmosphere, the service was exceptional – the staff were quick, efficient, and incredibly hospitable, making us feel welcome amidst the busy crowd. The highlight of the meal had to be their crispy hash browns, which were hands down the best I’ve ever tasted – perfectly golden and crunchy on the outside, yet wonderfully soft on the inside. Even though the place was busy, the quality of food and service didn’t falter. This popular spot definitely lives up to the hype and is well worth the wait.
Great food, great vibe, and good service when they're not too busy. The pizza is the best in town. The staff are very friendly. This restaurant has been one of my go to spots for years if I have an out of town or international tourist visitor.
Go here for the historical value of this place (one of the first places in little Italy), but not the food, which is average and a little overpriced for what it is. One of the few places in the area doing breakfast
Pizza was ok, pretty good...but can get better elsewhere. Fries soggy. Shrimps didn't seem well cooked. Worse was a "Pistachio" gelato which was bright green, tasted like they put almond extract in it, nothing what a true Pistachio gelato should taste like. For an Italian eatery in little Italy, I expected better. Was just mid.

Sadly they don't have proper roast potatoes. Instead we are given potato puffs.
The steak with eggs was ordered medium rare but it's so thin, that request is an impossibility. It also lacks seasoning.
The coffee and latte are excellent as was the Hollandaise sauce for the eggs Benedict. Overall the food is clean, non greasy and fair value.
Dessert was a shot of whiskey. You can't go wrong with that.
