Silver City for gold diggers housing old abandoned wooden shacks falling into ruin over time.
Formerly a gold mining village, today one of the largest "ghost" towns in the Yukon Territory. Silver City was built in the early 1900's because of its location at the end of the Wagon Road where much of the freight transported from Whitehorse travelled. Later, when the Alaska Highway was built, a camp was established in Silver City for the same reasons (provision of equipment, etc.).
