SNOWKING WINTER FESTIVAL

Every winter since 1996, Yellowknife Bay has hosted the Snowking Festival, during which a huge snow castle is built with the help of local residents. Once the castle is built, the place becomes a gathering place where most of the city's activities are concentrated. Ice hockey games, concerts, film evenings, artistic shows and children's games are organized in a beautiful and warm atmosphere. Francophone activities are also organized on site. A much-anticipated event every year.
