Museum dedicated to the immigration of Pier 21 which welcomed immigrants between 1928 and 1971, their words are preserved there.
It was through this building that more than one million immigrants, mostly from Europe, entered Canada between 1928 and 1971. Pier 21 has collected many testimonies of immigrants who arrived in Canada through this immigration office. Their words are wonderfully preserved and commented. This museum gives an account of the conditions that led to their departure and what they felt when they arrived in Canada. Pier 21 is an emotional place.
