Historic site, a former battlefield with a museum tracing its military history, at Annapolis Royal.

It is hard to believe that this peaceful place was, in its time, a battlefield where the French and the English clashed regularly (more than fourteen sieges). The museum installed in the former officers' quarters (18th century) evokes the military history of the site. Don't miss the remarkable tapestry retracing the 400 years of history of the region. Guided tours are also available upon reservation (two different tours, duration 50 minutes).
