Located at the western end of the island, without being the westernmost point of the island, this locality is especially known for its lighthouse. Built in 1875 and recognizable by its black and white stripes, this lighthouse became, in 1984, a small museum retracing the history of the island's lighthouses as well as a unique place to stay. From the observation platform, you can see all the red dunes of the shoreline. The lighthouse is located in Cedar Dunes Provincial Park, another attraction of West Point to be discovered, especially for a bit of lazing on the beach (check out West Point Beach), hiking the trails and camping on site.
