At the foot of Mount Revelstoke National Park, this charming and peaceful town with its many little cafes seems to be stuck in a narrow valley, but what a valley it is! The downtown area has retained its 1880s charm, with hotels and stores housed in buildings from that era. It is a famous ski jumping area, made famous by Nels Nelsen, an international icon of the winter sport and an organizing member of the Revelstoke Ski Club. Other activities include heli-skiing, rafting, hiking and horseback riding. Revelstoke is a ski resort that easily rivals Banff and Jasper National Parks!
