CAMPING DU PARC KOKANEE
Kokanee Creek Provincial Park is one of the most popular campsites in the Nelson area of British Columbia's Kootenays Mountains. Located at the foot of the Slocan Mountain Range and Selkirk Mountains, it was founded in 1955 on Native American ancestral lands. In this park, you will find sandy beaches, a visitor centre with a wildlife museum, miles of hiking trails, pine and giant cedar forests. This park is renowned for camping, fishing, boating, hiking, scenic views, windsurfing, canoeing, water skiing and bird watching. All sites include a picnic table, a fire circle and provide access to the beaches and various activities offered by the park, via paved trails. Your dog is accepted, but you must keep him on a leash most of the time. A beach is even accessible to him in the northeast of the park. In addition, it is recommended to be extremely careful when walking with your dog, especially in the forest. Your dog could have an unpleasant encounter with a bear there!
