POWELL RIVER HISTORICAL MUSEUM

The third largest photographic archival museum in the province of British Columbia. An opportunity to view old photographs that bear witness to life in this remote region in the past. Period artifacts and machinery, such as those used by loggers, are on display. Some of the exhibits focus on First Nations people. A beautiful page of history can be read in this museum and you can also learn the origin of several names of localities in the province.
