Park prized for its views of Salt Spring Island from its lookout and for offering a beautiful sunset.

You will have to take a fairly narrow, sloping gravel road to get to the Mount Maxwell Lookout parking lot. This park offers breathtaking views of Salt Spring Island as well as the other islands in the Gulf from its lookout and Baynes Peak, the highest point on the island. Several short hikes allow you to explore the park's forested area. It is a site particularly appreciated by locals and visitors alike to admire the sunset .
