OLD CITY QUARTER

It is the "Old Quarter" of the city, with the E&N Rail Station, which was the site of the first train from Victoria in 1883, as the main focus of interest. The area has many restaurants and shops, but it is still little frequented by visitors. The historic buildings give the area a charm of yesteryear, and it is now known for its revival and eclectic shopping and local gastronomy.
