Upper and Lower Grassi Lakes, emerald in color and overlooking Canmore, to be discovered by hiking through the forest and rocks.

The hike to Grassi Lakes is a beautiful 2-hour walk through forest and rocks, with views of two nearby lakes. Upper and Lower Grassi Lakes are at an elevation of approximately 1,525 metres in the southern Canadian Rockies. These two emerald coloured lakes overlook the town of Canmore. You will be able to reach the starting point of the hike by car when you arrive at the parking lot, but be sure to arrive early as space is limited and the hike is very popular!
