CHEZ MÈRE YVET

This small neighborhood restaurant is located on the outskirts of Mère Yvet's plot. This smiling Congolese woman serves home cooking, simmered with love. Local specialties include fish and meat broths, saka-saka and salted fish with eggplant. All served with manioc, bananas or rice. Also good grilled meat and fish. Generous portions and a warm welcome. For those not passing through Owando, Mère Yvet has opened another restaurant, in Brazzaville, near the Hotel Marina.
